Forming questions with modal verbs.
Questions formed with modal verbs such as: can, could, must, might, may,
will, would and should follow the same pattern as the verb 'to be'. The
verb and subject change positions.
You can go to the shops later.
Can you go to the shops later?
She will pass the exam.
Will she pass the exam?
You should go with her.
Should you go with her?
May is used to express uncertainty and is used for polite requests.
May I try some? May I have some help here? May I come with you?
May I borrow your book? May I have some more coffee?
